Kristin Andreassen brings a strategic and marketing focus to CDF- California’s executive council. Since January 2020, she has served as the head of CDF-CA’s Executive Council Governance working team, which has built the foundational pieces of the Executive Council’s operating structure.
Kristin has always had an interest in serving children. She previously served on the Education Committee for her church’s Africa ministry from 2018- 2020. Kristin also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate through San Diego-based Voices for Children starting in 2008, where she advocated for a child from age twelve through her emancipation in 2015 from the foster care system.
Kristin is both future-focused and grounded in enabling success in the near-term, while bringing a fresh perspective and integrating ideas across industries. As Senior Marketing Manager at Medtronic, the world’s largest medical device company, Kristin manages the portfolio of Medtronic insulin pumps with a strong emphasis on bringing life-changing technologies to market with an exceptional customer experience. She leads new product launches and manages the marketing strategies, communications, and promotions for existing products. In her previous role in Strategic Marketing at Medtronic, Kristin performed competitive and market assessments to inform the division’s five-year strategic plan and identified opportunities to position and differentiate the portfolio of products in an increasingly competitive market. Previously, Kristin was a management consultant within PwC’s Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences management consulting practice, where she helped clients address the changing healthcare system and future-proof their strategies. Prior to joining PwC, Kristin was program manager for several high-profile product commercializations, from inception to launch.
Kristin holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a B.A. in Psychology from UC San Diego. She also is a certified Project Management Professional. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
