Kira Arné Verica, a writer, youth advocate, and founder of The Wonder Syndicate.

Through the lens of original content, Kira explores the transformative union of stories and social action in television, film, and interactive media. A recipient of a Children’s Defense Fund fellowship, she is a Child Defender with a focus on girls leadership, equity and justice for young people.

Kira’s deep-rooted curiosity of people and the narrative of their triumphs and tragedies has informed a distinctive career path. Artistic director of a grassroots theater company in New York City with a focus on diverse playwrights and site specific works. An award-winning playwright and writer-producer in television. A former child model, with Ford and IMG Models, and an actress in tv, film and stage for over twenty years. A social innovator, Kira collaborates with impact organizations and media professionals to align business interests and constructive programming to empower the community. She is a member of the Writers Guild of America West and Women in Film. Kira lives with her husband, Tom Verica, and their two children in Los Angeles.
