My older sister, Marcy, has been my mother figure since the age of 12. She got custody of my two other siblings and myself at the young age of 24 and still currently holds this title. She gave me stability and a home without having the guidance or resources. Marcy made a way to create our “ohana” with her deep love that she holds for her siblings. I wouldn’t be the young woman I am today if it wasn’t for her.
I need all mothers to know that you are APPRECIATED!!! I know us kids can be difficult and may make you want to pull out your hair at times, but know that we love and appreciate you. Everything you are doing is worth it! This world needs you and especially your KIDS need YOU!! As for my mother figure, Marcy, I need you to know that you are the most important person in my life and I love you with all my heart. You made a huge difference in mine and Mike’s life and we appreciate all the sacrifices you made for us. Love you always and forever!
